I haven't come across this problem yet, I have about 9-10 plugins on this site including the ones mentioned in the post above. I must say 18 plugins is quite a lot! I use those same plugins on my blogs but I tend to go over board and load too many plugins. Just yesterday I dropped 18 plugins on one of my blogs. Sometimes I load plugins to give them a try and then forget about them so they can pile up and slow your blog down enough to bug your readers.
