Hey everyone! Today I want to talk about another great way to monetize your site, WidgetBucks! Since a couple days ago when I spoke about the Top Ways To Make Money From Your Website or Blog,
I thought I’d get into a bit more detail with the networks. Yesterday I wrote about Shopzilla and their PPC Publisher Program (Beta)
Today WidgetBucks is in the spotlight and has some great ways to monetize your website or blog.
1.) Under PPC (pay per click) basis, every time a visitor from the U.S. or Canada clicks on an ad you will get paid. So this is something you might want to take into consideration when using WidgetBucks PPC.
2.) Under CPM (cost per thousand impressions.) when a user OUTSIDE the U.S. or Canada views a page of yours that contains CPM ads from one of WidgetBucks ad partners, you make money. I must say this I don’t like much about WidgetBucks it truly is a downside and it’s why I don’t use it CPM wise, however it can and does work well for some people. It all depends on your particular situation.
3.) Referrals is the 3rd way you can use WidgetBucks to make money online, when you refer someone you will receive 5% from the money earned by the people you referred. With enough referrals this can bring in a great amount of money.

I was wondering does it sell anything to do within internet marketing, if not is not really good for my site, but thanks for the info will be looking into it …
WidgetBucks are not very good option for monetization without lot of USA/Canada traffic.
@Wong - Yes. WidgetBucks has many merchants, Amazon being one of them. You can select Internet marketing products that are on Amazon. To my knowledge, this is the most effective way to have any Internet marketing or “make money” product display on your WidgetBucks ad.
@Make Money Talks - I completely agree. Being that you can only make money on clicks from U.S. and Canada visitors like explained in the post above, if the majority of your traffic does not come from these places then at the moment WidgetBucks is not for you.
However if it is. I do recommend it as the ads provide a high (CTR) click through rate, and a big reason for this is the ad itself. It’s much more attractive then the typical contextual AdSense Ad. Many people including myself have seen higher CTR rates on WidgetBucks then on AdSense.
