Social Networking

May 4, 2008

Joining social networks and being an active member can have many benefits for you and your site. Social network sites have an incredible amount of traffic, at least if you use the right ones i.e MySpace, FaceBook, and Twitter, just to name a few. These sites are incredibly good for promotional reasons. Getting a profile for just each one of the sites mentioned above will get you an incredible increase to your sites traffic in time.

MySpace has been around for a while. This social network has provided people a very large income through promoting products directly through your profile, not even sending the potential customers to a website. With over 110 million active users around the globe, and 300,000 new sign ups per day, 1 in every 4 Americans have a MySpace and in the UK it’s as common to have a MySpace as it is to own a dog. I must say MySpace is a great way to make money online with no website, hosting, or anything like that whatsoever, just make a profile and promote it.

FaceBook took over the game strong because of their approach, they came with a new angle and made it work. Like MySpace, FaceBook as well is a great way to make money online, by making yourself a profile and promoting your affiliate products. With more then 60 million active users, 250,000 new registrations per day since Jan ‘07, and over 65 billion page views per month, I don’t think you’ll be having a problem getting people to your site on FaceBook.

Twitter the new social network everyone loves so much is like an “instant message” system. On
Twitter people post what they’re doing all the time, literally. People post things like “writing a new post for my blog” or even ” taking out the trash” things people usually don’t post on social networking sites, and especially not constantly every 15-20 min. With over 3 million messages sent per day and over 200,000 active users per week, Twitter is a smaller, closer community, where you can easily get your point across.
