Blog, Website or Both?

Many readers have asked me which is better and which one should they run with, my personal
opinion is it really doesn’t matter, what does matter is the content on your site and how user friendly it is. Everybody wants to make money online, but how can they do it? Blog? Website? Or Both? The answer is which ever but to clear things up a little let me state some things blogs are used for and some things websites are used for.
To start off if your specifically looking to make money online and you have your own product or somebody else’s product to sell where you would be having to constantly deal with orders being processed and refunds then I would recommend a website for the simple fact that if you want to make money online a blog wouldn’t be ideal for you since most blogs aren’t structured in a form to sell a product.
Although you could modify the html and make it more sales friendly, your better off having a website, and if you really wanted a blog you can have one within your website away from the sales page. The reason for this is because blogs are more informative and educational as opposed to e-commerce, so in your blog section of your site you might want to be educating your readers on the product your selling and posting updates and up and coming products or features your releasing.
Now on the other hand if you mean to be more informative then e-commerce then a blog would be the way to go, it’s low maintenance you can get a free one at Blogger.com and its easy to post and make your site grow with information without any tech knowledge needed to succeed. As well as having interaction with your readers through comments and subscriptions, it can have a certain community feel to it if you interact with your readers a lot and answer questions they have with a decent response time.
Whether your trying to be informative or make money online going with a blog or a website can provide better user experience, which ever fits you best remember the tips above and you will keep yours readers happy.
